This 7.8km section of the trail begins in Horticultural Park, Young Street, Leongatha.  The journey from South Gippsland’s regional centre to Koonwarra is a relaxing, gentle descent past dairy farms, lowland forest and wetlands. Take in expansive views of the Strzelecki Ranges as you leave the busy atmosphere of Leongatha. Breathe in the native flora and be welcomed by an avenue of trees as you approach Koonwarra.
