Gippsland is home to a variety of trails for you to explore

SURROUNDING TRAILS

The Grand Ridge Rail Trail winds 13 picturesque kilometres between Mirboo North and Boolarra in the Strzelecki Ranges.  It opened as a trail for walkers, cyclists and horse riders in 1998.

Distance - 13km one way

Victoria's only coastal trail, take in the views of Bass Strait whilst travelling over the iconic trestle bridge and continue through open farmland before finishing in the former coal mining town of Wonthaggi.

Distance - 23km one way

The trail extends from Marshalls Road, Traralgon to Apex Park, Stratford in Central Gippsland.  The trail follows the former Gippsland Plains Railway line.

Distance - 31.5km one way

The East Gippsland Rail Trail covers approximately 100km from Bairnsdale to Orbost.  The trail takes you through farmland and forests before welcoming you to the rural towns of the region.

Distance - 100km one way

The trail is relatively flat and follows the route of the old rail branch line that serviced the Yallourn West Power Station.

Distance - 8.5km one way

A walking trail through an area of national geological significance.  It is a great opportunity to see our flora and fauna in diverse environments.
